Gwinnett Technical College will hold a groundbreaking celebration for its new North Fulton campus in Alpharetta on March 6.

The new campus will add college credit classes to GTC’s offerings in North Fulton, which it has served since 2010. The college now offers continuing education, adult education and dual enrollment for high school students.

Construction is currently underway on the first of three planned campus buildings. Once fully built out, the campus is expected to serve 10,000 students. Classes are are projected to start in the new North Fulton campus in January 2016.

Gov. Nathan Deal and Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Gretchen Corbin are expected to join college officials at the groundbreaking ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m.
