Discovery High School.

That’s the name Gwinnett County school board members chose Thursday evening for its newest high school, which is scheduled to open in August.

Board members said they decided on that name because of the many innovative elements that are planned for the school. Discovery High School will feature an entrepreneurship center, two Junior Achievement of Georgia programs for middle school students and other features.

The school is being built on Old Norcross Road, near Lawrenceville.
