Gwinnett County’s school system has opened registration for parents interested in enrolling their children in a program where they will begin to learn another language in kindergarten.

The district will continue its Dual Language Immersion program at Annistown, Bethesda and Trip elementary schools.

Kindergarten students in the program at Annistown and Bethesda elementary schools will learn Spanish while kindergarten students in the program at Trip will learn French.

Priority will be given to students who live in the school’s attendance zone. If more students from the attendance zone apply than there are spaces available, a lottery will be used to determine enrollment.

Parents who are interested should complete a registration form and mail it to the school by 4 p.m. Thursday, May 14. The registration forms are on each school’s website.
