Gwinnett County school board members have promoted three assistant principals to lead different schools at the start of the next school year.

Marketa Myers, currently assistant principal of Benefield Elementary School, will become the new principal of Nesbit Elementary School.

Tamara G. Perkins, currently assistant principal of Berkeley Lake Elementary School, was appointed principal of Parsons Elementary School.

Shonda G. Stevens, currently assistant principal of Jackson Elementary School, was named principal of Benefield Elementary School.

The current principals of those schools were appointed to be principals of new schools opening in August.
