Gwinnett names three new principals

At its regular monthly meeting on September 19, 2019, the Gwinnett County Board of Education appointed three new principals.

Kevin Wood is the new principal of Meadowcreek High School. A former associate principal for the school, he is currently the district’s Director of Federal and Special Programs.

The board also named Brett Savage, an assistant principal at Creekland Middle School, as the new principal of Crews Middle School.

Gabriel “Gabe” Zaragoza, an assistant principal at Baldwin Elementary School, is the new principal of Hopkins Elementary.

Crews Middle School Principal Stacey Schepens is transferring to another position in the district and Hopkins Elementary’s principal, Tamara Candis, accepted a position with a neighboring school district.
