A person was in custody Tuesday after shots were fired at a DeKalb County elementary school, police said.

The incident occurred at Ronald McNair Discovery Learning Academy at 216 2nd Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

“Shooter apprehended; all kids safe and accounted for,” interim Superintendent Michael Thurmond told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution just before 2 p.m.
