Group to stage pro charter school rally Oct. 27

A pro-charter school group, Moms for School Choice, is staging a rally in support of charters schools at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, on the campus of Heritage Preparatory Charter School, 3350 Greenbriar Pkwy SW, in Atlanta. The rally in anticipation of the state charter amendment on the Nov. ballot, and is endorsed by supporters of that amendment, among them: Ga. Sen. Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Cherokee), Ga. State Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan (D-Austell), DeKalb County Board of Education Member Nancy Jester, and Cherokee County Board of Education Member Michael Geist.
