Atlanta families can get free school supplies and health screenings at Atlanta Public Schools’ Back-to-School Bash on July 30 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The event is open only to Atlanta Public Schools students and their families.

The event will also feature children’s activities and after-school resources.

Free transportation will be available to and from these sites starting at 8:30 a.m.: Bethune Elementary School (no public parking), Carver High School, Douglass High School, Grady High School, Jackson High School, Mays High School, South Atlanta High School, Sutton Middle (seventh/eighth grade campus), Therrell High School and Washington High School.

Atlanta’s first day of school is Aug. 3.
