Georgia proposes new K-12 science and social studies standards

The public has until March 14 to comment on proposed changes to the science and social studies standards for public school students.

If the Georgia Board of Education approves them, the “Georgia Standards of Excellence” will replace the current Georgia Performance Standards for those subjects starting in the 2017-18 school year.
