A Georgia charter school earns governor’s award for arts, humanities

A charter school in DeKalb County was among the recipients of Gov. Nathan Deal’s 2016 award for “significant contributions to Georgia’s civic and cultural vitality.”

The Museum School of Avondale Estates was among the dozen organizations and individuals selected. The fifth annual Award for the Arts and Humanities is presented with the Georgia Council for the Arts and Georgia Humanities.
