Rather than mourning the end of a chapter, retirees of Fulton County Schools will celebrate their time with the school system at "The Next Chapter" retirement dinner, beginning with a reception Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Fulton County Schools and Fulton Education Foundation will honor the more than 280 retirees for their service and commitment to education.

Judge Penny Brown Reynolds is scheduled as the keynote speaker for the dinner, which will take place in the Atrium Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta. Reynolds is a speaker and author who also is known for the television show “Family Court with Judge Penny.”

The program will be followed by a live band and dancing.
