DeKalb school administrators told members of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association Tuesday that the long-awaited new Austin Elementary School is on the way.

Here are a few facts they passed on to the HOA members:

• The new school will remain on Roberts Drive

• Students will not be displaced from the current building during construction

• The district is negotiating with a land owner

• If negotiations wrap up by summer, the new school could be open by August 2018
