The Fulton Education Foundation has tentatively awarded a $25,000 grant to Riverwood International Charter School. The school will use it to enable students with demonstrated financial need to participate in its 2017-18 International Study Abroad trips, if the school board approves in April. The grant will help fund the curriculum and programming costs of language study and home stays for students while abroad. Students in Spanish, French, and Japanese language courses at Riverwood will put what they have learned in classes into use while surrounded by native speakers of the language.
