Forty sponsors have signed on in support of the Fulton County School System’s Legacy of Excellence awards show at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 2, a the Georgia World Congress Center. The event is expected to draw more than 1,100 school system employees, business and community members. All Employees of the Year – nearly 200 in total – will receive special gifts from the Fulton Education Foundation and event sponsors. The top six honorees – Pamela Haight, Fulton’s Overall Teacher of the Year; Kimberly Cooney, High School Teacher of the Year; Barbara Bell, Middle School Teacher of the Year; Dan Sims, Principal of the Year; James Stewart, School Professional of the Year; and Melissa Arnold, Support Professional of the Year – will get cash prizes as well as gifts from the Atlanta Hawks, The Kroger Company and Wade Ford.
