Forsyth and Fulton schools call off after-school events Friday
Fulton County Schools teachers are expected to show up for a staff work day Friday, as the wintry weather is not expected to arrive until late Friday or early Saturday.
The system has called off all after-school activities, such as sporting events, Friday and through the weekend.
A little further north in Forsyth County, the school system has also cancelled all after school sports activities after Friday and through the weekend. This does not include after-school childcare programs at schools.
A spokeswoman said to get information on the rescheduling of activities and athletics, students should contact school coaches and sponsors.
