The University of Georgia law school’s annual Sibley Lecture will be presented by former U.S. Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano on Oct. 27.

Napolitano, currently president of the University of California system, will be the 112th lecturer in the series that was established in 1964 as a tribute to the late Atlanta banker and attorney John A. Sibley.

She will present “Anatomy of a Legal Decision” during the event, which begins at 3:30 p.m. in UGA’s Chapel on North Campus.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
