For the third year in a row the most Master Teachers in Georgia are from Fulton County Schools. Sixteen of the 58 Master Teachers named in Georgia this year for are from the district.Created by the General Assembly in 2005, the Georgia Master Teacher Certification Program identifies and recognizes educators who have positively influenced student achievement in the classroom and consistently demonstrated excellence.“This special designation shows that teachers in Fulton County are committed to effective teaching methods and research strategies,” said Superintendent Robert Avossa. “They are among a distinguished group of educators whose students have achieved great academic outcomes.”
