DeKalb County School District Superintendent Steve Green is holding the next edition of "On the Scene with Dr. Green" in Lithonia.

The meeting will be Jan. 24 at the Edward L. Bouie Sr. Traditional Theme School, 5100 Rock Springs Road. It begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last an hour.

In previous meetings, Green and other district staffers have fielded questions and provided feedback on larger district initiatives.

Sometimes, he has made special announcements.

The meeting comes on the heels of November's event at Columbia MIddle School in Decatur, which saw several parents questioning the suspension of a beloved physical education teacher after a student claimed he was made to stand in the rain for about a half hour as punishment for acting out in class.
