The last of nine DeKalb County School District redistricting meetings related to new elementary schools are set for the coming weeks.

The five meetings will cover three redistricting efforts around the new Pleasantdale , Austin and Cross Keys North elementary schools. Several meetings already have been held on the matters.

District officials said the new schools are being built to address capacity issues at several of the district's schools, which currently operate with students in portable classrooms adjacent to the buildings and infrequent issues with plumbing, air conditioning and heat as well as leaking roofs.

Meetings for the new Austin Elementary School will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23. and Nov. 20 at Dunwoody High School, 5035 Vermack Road in Dunwoody.

Meetings for the new Cross Keys North Elementary School will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16. and Nov. 19 at Chamblee Charter High School, 3688 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee.

The last meeting for the new Pleasantdale Elementary School will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Lakeside High School, 3801 Briarcliff Road in Atlanta.
