DeKalb County School District posted gains in many important areas of the state’s report card for student progress, according to information released by the Georgia Department of Education.

According to a district press release, the district scored 69.9 on the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI), which grades schools on several factors, including student performance on standardized state tests. Schools can earn up to 110 points, which includes 10 bonus points.

District officials say the improvements are proof that a $2 million infusion of resources at struggling schools is helping to improve performance.
