DeKalb schools earn low “financial efficiency” score

DeKalb County Schools rated poorly under Georgia’s new “financial efficiency” measure unveiled Thursday by state education officials.

The school district earned a 2.5 in the rating system, with 1 being the worst and 5 the best. It was in the bottom of the state’s 180 districts, with 100 earning a higher rating.

Decatur City Schools, an independent system in DeKalb, also earned a 2.5.
