The DeKalb County School District has scheduled a dedication ceremony for its annual student art installation.

The 2019-2020 Art Star Hall of Fame Dedication Ceremony will take place Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m. at district headquarters, 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd. in Stone Mountain. The 50-piece display will feature art made by students from across the district. The hall of fame began in 2015 to honor students who excelled in visual arts.

“Art is an expression of how we see the world, and an important catalyst for learning in each of our schools,” Superintendent Steve Green said.

The art is done through various forms and using different equipment, including pencils and paint.

The selections will be shown throughout the school year.
