Tens of thousands of students from Dekalb County were greeted by teachers on the first day of school for the 2016-17 school year.
Also Monday, students in Gwinnett County, Fulton County and Clayton County went back to school, joining students from Atlanta, Cobb, Decatur and other systems that had already started.
