A DeKalb County high school was placed on lockdown Monday morning after a gun was reported on campus.

District officials said a passer-by called 911 after seeing what she believed to be a student with a gun outside Miller Grove High School. No gun was found, and the lockdown was canceled after DeKalb County School District police investigated.

“Two students were identified as possible suspects,” district officials said. “Police located and searched both of the students but no weapon was found.”

The district has had a busy semester with gun discoveries, dating back to the second week of school. So far this year, officials said eight guns have been confiscated from campuses, more than the seven confiscated during the 2018-2019 school year.
