Columbus State University opened a new service center on its main campus Thursday to serve members of the local military community.

The new computer lab and lounge, which is located in the lower level of University Hall, is available to students who are veterans, reservists, National Guard members, active duty service members or in the ROTC.

About 15 percent of the university’s enrollment is tied to the military, drawing many students from neighboring Fort Benning U.S. Army post.
