Students will learn over the coming months whether they were accepted by the college of their choice, with early admission decisions due in coming weeks and regular admission decisions announced early next year.

Here’s a timeline for the applications and processes at select Georgia colleges and universities.

University of Georgia

  • Dec. 15: the formal date for release of admission decisions for early-action applicants (though a UGA blog says the results may be posted as early as Nov. 18)
  • Jan. 15: deadline for regular decision applicants
  • March 15: deadline for submission of priority consideration financial aid applications
  • April 1: admission decisions release for regular decision applicants

Georgia Tech

  • Dec. 1: document deadline for early-action applicants who applied by the Oct. 15 deadline
  • Jan. 1: application deadline for regular decision applicants
