The graduation rate for Clayton County schools rose slightly this year, one percentage point, according to state data.

The percentage of Clayton’s students who graduated from high school after four years in 2019 was 72.7%, compared to 71.7% for the class a year ago.

All Clayton County high schools’ graduation rates rose, except for two that already had reached 100% last year. At Elite Scholars Academy and Stilwell School of the Arts, all students who should have graduated this year did, just as last year.

All of Clayton County’s 11 regular or non-alternative high schools saw graduation rates above 70 percent, and the rate for seven of them was over 80%.
