Clark Atlanta hosts Spirit of Greatness gala to honor alumni

The annual Spirit of Greatness gala recognizing Clark Atlanta University alumni is set for Saturday, March 19.

The black-tie gala, hosted by the university and the Clark Atlanta Alumni Association, is part of the university’s Founders Week activities, and will benefit the school’s scholarship fund.

This year’s honorees include:

Tina Dunkley, former director of the Clark Atlanta University Art Galleries, Atlanta University, class of 1980
Bomani Jones, sports journalist for ESPN, Clark Atlanta University, 2001
Terry Lee, retired General Motors executive, Clark College, 1972
Jesse "Coach Mac" McClardy (posthumously), former Clark College head football coach, Clark College, 1957

The gala beings with a reception at 6:30 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Center at 2 Galleria Pkwy SE in Atlanta. The awards ceremony begins at 7:30. Tickets are $150 and can be purchased online at www.cau.edu.
