Cherokee County teacher wins national award for digital learning

A Cherokee County school teacher is among the recipients for the prestigious PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators award for 2015.

Woodstock Elementary teacher Kristen Brooks is part of a group of 100 tech-savvy educators from across the country selected for "their passion and commitment to innovative teaching practices that integrate digital media and technology in the classroom," according to PBS.

Over the next year, these tech-savvy educators will take part in a yearlong professional development program, preparing them to act as digital learning ambassadors in their local schools and communities.
