A measure that would have allowed school systems to deduct money from charter schools for unfunded pension liabilities isn’t advancing in the Georgia Legislature.

House Bill 680 didn't get a hearing or a vote by the March 3 deadline for proposals to have passed at least one legislative chamber.

The proposal was intended as a way to force Atlanta’s charter schools to contribute to the city public school system’s $550 million pension debt.
