Buckhead school property put up for sale

Atlanta’s school system is attempting to sell the Buckhead property currently leased by Atlanta International School.

Atlanta Public Schools issued a request for proposals March 14 for the 9.2-acre property on the site of the former North Fulton High School, which an appraisal valued at $8.4 million on March 30, 2012.

The public school district last year considered selling the land and its buildings to Atlanta International School, a 1,150-student private school that has leased the property since 1994.
