Buckhead Preparatory School is expanding to include first grade students in the 2014-2015 school year, a step toward adding more elementary grades.

The private school, which currently offers preschool and kindergarten, is accepting applications as its enrollment is expected to grow from 150 students this year to between 175 and 200 students next year.

Buckhead Prep emphasizes preparing students for their next level of education through reading, handwriting and math.
