Braves partner with Cobb schools

The Atlanta Braves announced a partnership with the Cobb County School District Wednesday.

The Braves outlined the five-part initiative and spoke to Cobb School staff during the school district’s leadership kick off celebration.

Former Braves player and sports analyst Brian Jordan addressed the Cobb School leaders, talking about the new partnership starting this year.The programming will include Braves tickets and promotional items for students, career shadowing and science fairs and STEM days at SunTrust Park in five areas:

• Literacy Programs for grades kindergarten to 8

• Braves Student Leaders for grades 9 to 12

• Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education for all grades

• Teacher grants, recognition and recruitment

• Jobs for students and teachers
