Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen will hold an Instagram meetup with this year’s graduating seniors.

The superintendent will host a virtual town hall on Instagram Live at 4 p.m. today. The event is a chance to talk to seniors before their last day of at-home learning on Friday. The district previously announced that seniors will end the school year early on May 1, while all other students will continue with distance learning through May 22.

Last week, Carstarphen announced the district will hold virtual events in mid-May to celebrate this year's graduating class. The main graduation ceremonies will be postponed until late July or even fall or winter, when the district and health officials decide it is safe to hold in-person ceremonies.

Carstarphen’s town hall with seniors can be viewed on her Instagram account @meriacarstarphen.
