Students in Atlanta Public Schools will make up a day of classes on March 17, which had previously been scheduled as a professional learning day for teachers and a day off for students.

Superintendent Erroll Davis said the additional classroom learning time will be blended with online school and a homework hotline for after-hours student assistance.

Atlanta students have missed seven school days because of inclement weather this year.
