A group of Atlanta school principals were meeting with Superintendent Erroll Davis on Wednesday for their first quarterly meeting on how to improve operations.

The council is intended to help shape Atlanta Public Schools’ mission, achieve academic excellence, prepare students for success and advice the superintendent, according to an article posted on the school system’s newsletter website, Talk Up APS.

The council consists of principals from traditional, nontraditional and charter schools, and it will meet quarterly.
