A total of about 130 positions in Atlanta Public Schools were slated for elimination Monday.

Reductions include curriculum personnel funded by expiring grants, facilities staff that will be consolidated and information technology employees lost in a reorganization.

The changes are intended to help the school system save money and become more efficient, according to school board documents posted online.
