Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen will host an online town hall Thursday to answer questions from parents and employees about the district's coronavirus response.

The  Facebook Live event will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Parents and staff can submit questions to be answered by Carstarphen and other APS officials.

In a letter to parents, Carstarphen said the town hall would be an opportunity to answer questions and hear feedback from stakeholders “in real time.”

The district announced Monday that it would not reopen shuttered buildings until after spring break at the earliest. The district's spring break is April 6-10.

Students have been asked to do school work from home during the break, and teachers and staff are teleworking.
