Atlanta Public Schools will accept applications for general administrative transfers and Georgia Special Needs Scholarship transfers for next school year from March 12 through April 1.

General administrative transfers permit a student to attend an out-of-zone school through completion of the highest grade of the school. Georgia special needs scholarship transfers allow eligible special education students to request a transfer to another APS campus on the basis of special needs.

City of Atlanta residents can attend a public school outside of their zoned school when space is available. Students living outside the city’s boundaries may apply to attend any school in the district, if space is available and with the payment of non-resident tuition.

Starting March 12, to see a list of schools open to transfers and complete an online application, visit www.atlanta.k12.ga.us/transfers. Paper applications are available at the district's central office, 130 Trinity Avenue.
