Leadership Gwinnett has selected the next class of forty leaders committed to giving their time, talent and offering their organization an even stronger opportunity to connect in the community. This 32nd Class of 2017 will learn about and become engaged in the areas of: infrastructure, economics, education, health and human services, justice, and regional relations.
These 40 leaders have been selected from a pool of candidates who apply each year. Executive Director of Leadership Gwinnett, Lisa Zaken shares, "selection of these top candidates requires balance of occupation, qualifications and a representation that reflects a cross section of the county. Over the coming year, this diverse group will gain a true understanding of the people and issues shaping our community's future — and more importantly, how they can impact those issues."
Since 1985, Leadership Gwinnett has graduated 1,038 alumni. The graduates of the program continue to build on the skills learned through their year together and continue collaborations to strengthen the core and infrastructure of Gwinnett. "Graduates can be found in every aspect of Gwinnett business, civic and cultural life. They share their talents, passions and use their influence to contribute to our community and make it stronger and more effective," shares Phil Hoskins, current General Chair of Leadership Gwinnett and Deputy County Administrator, Gwinnett County.
The 2017 Leadership Gwinnett program kicks off in August. The program covers topics ranging from infrastructure to regional relations, monthly study groups, tours and hands-on experiences within the county.
