A building at Georgia Tech was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a small explosion in a lab, an official said.

No one was injured, Georgia Tech spokesman Matt Nagel told Channel 2 Action News.

The Atlanta fire department has cleared the building on Ferst Drive and Tech plans to keep it closed for the evening while the institute investigates, he said.

No other information was immediately available.
