Fulton County police identified Thursday the man killed in a public park earlier in the week.

Zack Mascio Knight, 21 of Atlanta, died from multiple gunshots suffered in Cliftondale Park off of Butner Road around 3 p.m.Tuesday, Lt. Scott McBride said. He described the park as a low-crime area.

An acquaintance took Knight to a nearby subdivision and called 911, McBride said. Paramedics transported the victim to Atlanta Medical Center South, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are investigating how many people were involved and the motive for the shooting, McBride said.
