No foul play suspected after body found in trunk of car in Florida, deputies say

Florida authorities do not suspect foul play after a man's body was found wrapped in white sheets in the trunk of a car.

The car was found Dec. 30, and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has identified the man as Terry Mercer, 34, of Waycross, Georgia.

Police said that around 1:45 p.m. on Dec. 30, a deputy drove by what he thought was an abandoned vehicle.

Upon further investigation, the officer found an individual wrapped in white sheets in the back of the vehicle.
