The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery Saturday of a dead woman in a wooded area near McFarland Parkway and Ridgeland Parkway, close to GA 400.
Hunters found the woman’s body around noon Saturday, Deputy Doug Rainwater said.
Channel 2 Action News reports that sheriff’s officials say the deceased has been identified by deputies. Her name will be withheld pending notification of her next of kin, but she was not a Forsyth County resident.
Channel 2 reports officials say no foul play is suspected at this time, but the investigation will continue. The body is being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.
