Derby High School students are taking to social media to address what they claim is a longstanding issue: poor quality food allegedly sold at the school.

Photos of moldy food that Derby High School students say they purchased at school have been posted on Twitter.

Student Linnea Engstrom told KAKE that she took to Twitter to post a photo of a moldy apple and other students followed suit. She said expired food is so commonplace that it doesn't surprise most of the students anymore. Engstrom also claimed that complaints to school officials have been ignored.

There was no immediate response from school officials.
