It was the first day of school for kids in the nation's second-largest school district. For the litttlest kids, it was the first day of pre-kindergarten.

At City Terrace Elementary School, Andrew Macias was brave when the reporter first asked him if he was excited and if he would miss his mom, but then he thought about it for a moment.
