Nov 3, 2014An audit of DeKalb County Commissioners’ spending on their taxpayer-funded debit cards has been revised to show a higher number of Commissioner Sharon Barnes Sutton’s office expenses were supported by receipts.
Sutton’s office provided information to auditors that showed receipts for 69 percent of transactions, a significant increase from the 25 percent of transactions supported by receipts when the audit was originally made public Oct. 23.
The updated audit said Sutton's office still had the highest purchasing card spending on the DeKalb Commission, amounting to $108,720 since 2006.
