The 17-year-old passenger in a single car wreck in Forsyth County Wednesday night has died. The teenage driver survived.

Caleb Ammons of Cumming was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the 1998 Honda Civic which crashed on Dr. Bramblett Road at Milford Lane around 10:30 p.m., the Forsyth County sheriff’s office said. He died on the scene from his injuries.

The car, driven by Ashton Ciunowicz, 18, of Cumming, was headed southbound when it left the road while trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went down an embankment, rolled, then hit a tree before stopping, authorities said.

Ciunowicz was cut out of his seat belt and taken to North Fulton Hospital. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation.
