Man charged with murder in 21-year-old’s shooting death

A man is being charged with murder after a 21-year-old woman was shot to death Saturday at an apartment complex near Decatur, police said.

Carl Williams, 23, turned himself in to authorities in connection with the death at the Serenade Apartments in the 200 block of Glen Hollow Lane, DeKalb County police said.

“Both resided at the address, and it appears that there was some sort of altercation before the shooting,” police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell told Channel 2 Action News.

No other details were released.
