A woman was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash in South Fulton, authorities said.

The wreck happened at the intersection of Peters and Jonesboro roads, South Fulton police Lt. Jubal Rogers told AJC.com. The driver of a Nissan Versa was turning left onto Jonesboro Road and collided with a Tesla that was traveling east on Jonesboro Road.

The Nissan was struck on its left front quarter panel, Rogers said. He added that investigators believe speed may have played a factor in the crash.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and passenger in the Tesla were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until next of kin is notified, police said.

No other information was released. The crash remains under investigation.
